For the Tsuru Crane design, origami master Torimoto-san put his own trademark, modifying a rather static classical shape into a more dynamically poised bird caught in flight. The crane symbolizes good fortune, longivety, hope and healing in Japanese culture.

The Tsuru Crane pendant is part of the Orihagane collection, a collaboration between J+Mikoto and Japanese origami master Norio Torimoto. This collection of origami jewelry explores the opposing aspects in the fragility of paper and the robustness of steel, both cornerstones of Japanese handcraft.
The piece comes in three different finishes: Polished stainless steel, gold plated stainless steel and rose gold plated stainless steel.
